Pre-order terms

These terms apply when you reserve a Maravier founding price before we launch in January 2027. They’re between you and Maravier Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17520838, registered office 167-169 Great Portland Street, London W1W 5PF.
1. For businesses only
Pre-orders are for employers in England, Scotland and Wales buying for their business, including sole traders and partnerships who employ staff. They’re not for consumers.
2. What you pay today
You pay your first paid month, or your first year if you choose yearly, plus VAT at 20%. Your price depends on your number of staff: your base price covers up to 5 staff, plus £10 a month + VAT at 20% (£12 including VAT) for each extra employee. Yearly is 10 times the monthly price.
Until HMRC issues our VAT number, your Stripe receipt shows the total you paid. We’ll email you a VAT invoice once the number arrives.
3. Refunds before launch
Your pre-order is refundable at any time before launch. Email hello@maravier.com and we’ll refund the full amount to the card you paid with.
If we haven’t launched by 31 March 2027, we’ll refund everyone automatically.
4. Your founding price
Founding prices are open until the end of Sunday 31 January 2027, UK time. That date doesn’t change if our launch date moves.
The price you reserve at is your founding price. It’s fixed for 24 months from launch. If your number of staff changes, your price changes by £10 a month + VAT at 20% (£12 including VAT) for each employee above 5, and your base price stays at your founding rate.
After 24 months, prices can rise at most once a year, each April, by no more than the latest annual Consumer Prices Index (CPI) figure, rounded down to a whole pound. We’ll tell you by 1 January, so you always have at least 3 months’ notice.
5. Your card and your subscription
Stripe saves your card so we can start your subscription at launch. We’ll email you before the first charge. You can cancel before then, and your pre-order stays refundable until launch.
Once you’re a member there’s no contract: you can cancel online at any time. If you pay yearly, we’ll remind you before it renews.
6. Money back until you send your staff their contracts, for up to 30 days
Money back until you press send on your staff’s contracts, for up to 30 days from the day your subscription starts. Read every contract in the app first.
7. Switching from another HR provider
If you’re switching, you pay your first month and your next 3 months are free. If you pay yearly, the 3 free months are added to your first year. We’ll work out your notice deadline and write your cancellation letter, but it’s your responsibility to send it and to check it against your contract.
8. Tribunal defence
Tribunal defence covers problems that start after you join, from your first day as a member. The first complaint, absence or incident has to come after you join, and you need to tell us about anything already brewing when you join: we’ll help with it, but the defence won’t cover it. You need to ask us before you act and follow our advice, so we can defend it. For pre-orders, you join when your subscription starts at launch. The claim has to arrive while you’re still a member. It covers defending you. It doesn’t pay any award, settlement or costs a tribunal orders you to pay. Its final terms are still being signed off by a lawyer. If they change, we’ll email you before you’re charged, and you can have a full refund.
9. Your industry
We check that we can cover your business before launch. If we can’t, we’ll refund you in full.
10. Health and safety
Ticking the health and safety box doesn’t cost anything now. The add-on starts in summer 2027, and we’ll ask you before adding it to your subscription.
11. Referrals
If another employer joins using your link and pays for their first month, you each get one month free, taken off your next payment after launch.
12. What we are
Maravier is your HR team, not a law firm. Our employment solicitor will draft the legal documents. As the employer, you remain responsible for decisions about your staff.
13. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute.
