Launching January 2027. Founding prices fixed for 24 months.

The fine print, upfront

Every condition, in plain English, before you pay.

These are the conditions in our pre-order terms, written out plainly. Prices are for businesses.

Every condition

Tribunal defence

From day one, we defend claims about problems that start after you join, at no extra cost, as long as you ask us before you act and follow our advice. The problem has to start after you join: the first complaint, absence or incident, not just the final decision. Tell us about anything already brewing when you join: we’ll help with it, but the defence won’t cover it. For pre-orders, you join when your subscription starts at launch. The claim has to arrive while you’re still a member. It covers defending you. It doesn’t pay any award, settlement or costs a tribunal orders you to pay. Its final terms are still being signed off by a lawyer. If they change, we’ll email you before you’re charged, and you can have a full refund.

Following our advice means three things: ask your HR expert before you act and follow the case steps in the app, wait for their sign-off before any dismissal, and tell us the day Acas or a tribunal gets in touch.

How the tribunal defence works

What costs extra

Everything else is in the plan. These are fixed fees, charged only when you ask for them:

  • Independent investigation: £995 + VAT at 20% (£1,194 including VAT) each, for when you need someone uninvolved to investigate.
  • Independent hearing or appeal: £595 + VAT at 20% (£714 including VAT) each, for when no one uninvolved in your business can hold it.
  • Settlement agreement: £395 + VAT at 20% (£474 including VAT) each, drafted and checked by our employment solicitor.
  • Health and safety add-on: optional, from summer 2027. See clause 13.

Independent services are paid by invoice, outside the app. When you’d need someone independent

What we are

We’re your HR team, not a law firm: we do the HR work and the paperwork, and our employment solicitor will draft the legal documents. The law makes you, the employer, responsible for decisions about your staff, so the final call on things like a dismissal is yours. We tell you exactly what to do, and do everything around it.

How you pay

Business prices, + VAT at 20%. Monthly, with no contract: cancel online any time. Or pay yearly: 12 months for the price of 10, with a reminder before it renews.

You pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe, and your bank statement shows MARAVIER. Maravier Ltd is registering for VAT: until our VAT number arrives, your receipt shows the total you paid, and we email you a VAT invoice once it does.

Money back until you send your staff their contracts, for up to 30 days

Money back until you press send on your staff’s contracts, for up to 30 days from the day your subscription starts. Read every contract in the app first.

Once your contracts have gone out, that month is paid. You can still cancel online any time, and you keep everything we’ve issued.

Your price

Your price is for up to 5 staff, plus £10 a month + VAT at 20% (£12 including VAT) for each extra employee. If your number of staff changes, your price changes with it.

Founding prices are open until Sunday 31 January 2027. That date stays the same even if our launch moves. Founding members’ prices are fixed for 24 months from launch. If you join after founding prices close, your price is fixed for your first 12 months.

After that, prices can rise at most once a year, each April, by no more than the latest annual inflation figure (the Consumer Prices Index, CPI), rounded down to a whole pound. We tell you by 1 January, so you always have at least 3 months’ notice. The same rule covers the price per extra employee and the health and safety add-on. You can cancel online any time.

Switching from another provider

If you’re switching from another HR provider, you pay your first month, then your next 3 months are free. If you pay yearly, the 3 free months are added to your first year.

We work out your notice deadline and write your cancellation letter from what you tell us. It’s your responsibility to check it against your own contract and to send it.

How switching works

Pre-orders before launch

Maravier launches in January 2027. Until then, you can reserve a founding price by paying your first paid month, or your first year, today.

  • It’s refundable any time before launch: email us and we refund the full amount to the card you paid with.
  • If we haven’t launched by 31 March 2027, we refund everyone automatically.
  • Stripe saves your card so we can start your subscription at launch. We email you before the first charge.
  • We check that we can cover your business before launch. If we can’t, we refund you in full.

Who answers, and how fast

Mirith, our assistant, answers everyday questions in the app at any hour, only from an approved library of Acas guidance, gov.uk pages and the law, shows the source with every answer, and passes anything serious to your HR expert.

Your HR expert replies by 5pm if it reaches them by 3pm on a working day, and otherwise by noon the next working day. Every dismissal is checked by the next working day. The “Acas has called” button has the same reply times.

Your HR expert works 9 to 5, Monday to Friday, except bank holidays. In the evenings and at weekends, Mirith answers in the app and passes anything serious to them the next working day. You can also message your HR expert in the app.

Who we cover

Employers in England, Scotland and Wales with 1 to 49 staff. Sole traders, partnerships and companies are all welcome, as long as you employ staff. We don’t cover Northern Ireland yet, because its employment law is different.

Care homes, home care, childcare, security, farming, haulage and financial services have extra rules we’re still building in, so book a call before you reserve. If you have more than 49 staff, book a call and we’ll tell you whether Maravier fits. Who Maravier is for

Your staff and their concerns

We act for you, the employer. Your staff are told so in the app, and pointed to Acas for free, independent advice about their own rights.

Staff can raise a concern through the app and hide their name from you. Maravier still sees it, so your HR expert can follow up with them. Nothing from a staff member’s messages comes to you automatically: your HR expert decides what you need to know to deal with it.

If a concern is about you, it follows a confidential route, and your HR expert may recommend an independent investigation.

If you leave

There’s no contract and no exit fee. Cancel online any time. If you pay yearly, we remind you before it renews.

Everything we’ve issued stays yours to download as PDFs, even after you leave: signed contracts, the handbook and policies as issued, letters and records. Editing documents, law-change updates, your HR expert’s checks and the tribunal defence end with your subscription.

If a payment fails, your account becomes read-only rather than being deleted, because you still have to keep your records. When you leave, we return or delete your data. Your data and security

Health and safety

An optional add-on from summer 2027: £25 a month + VAT at 20% (£30 a month including VAT) for up to 5 staff, plus £2 for each extra employee (£2.40 including VAT). It starts with offices, shops, salons and clinics; hospitality and trades follow later.

You can tick it when you reserve. It costs nothing until it’s ready, and we’ll ask you before adding it to your subscription. What the add-on covers

Payroll

We don’t run payroll or file with HMRC. Each pay period, we send whoever runs your payroll a summary of what’s changed: starters, leavers, pay changes, hours, and statutory sick and family pay due. Your accountant or bookkeeper can have a login that sees only those summaries. For accountants and bookkeepers

Your HR team, from January 2027.

Start with the free checklist. Reserve your founding price, and we set you up in January. It’s refundable until launch.
